Notice of Public Protection Against Discrimination
The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes and regulations in all services, programs, and activities. MART operates without regard to race, color, national origin, creed, income, gender, age, or disability. Any person who believes himself/herself to be subjected to a discrimination prohibited by Title VI may by himself/herself, or by a representative, file a written or verbal complaint with MART. A complaint must be filed no later than 180 days after the date of the alleged discrimination. Complaint forms can be located at the ticket agency window of our Intermodal Facility at 100 Main Street in Fitchburg, the facility at 555 Main Street in Gardner, or at MART’s main office at 1427R Water Street in Fitchburg. These forms must be completed, signed and sent to our main office.
Complaints may also be filed over the phone at 978-345-7711. In this case, an official complaint form will be completed by MART staff and mailed to the complainant for signature and verification of accurate information. A description of the complete complaint procedure will be made available, if requested, when a complaint is filed. Obligations and complaint procedures are available for translation in Spanish.
